UPDATE: Emma Colson is recommencing her PhysioBikeFit practice in Fitzroy, from the week starting June 1, 2020
Dear Potential clients
I find this situation difficult as I have had many enquiries for my bike-fit services and would dearly love to get back to work.
I have followed the COVID situation for some time now and this is not a condition to be taken lightly. The easing of restrictions in the State do not mean that the virus is any less present in the community. The disease is highly contagious and can be transmitted by people who are symptom free, ie that could be you or it could be me (and not know it).
On a personal front I have an elderly father to look after and also now live in a community which is COVID free (and commute to Melbourne for work). The responsibility for the health of others is dependant upon my own behaviour.
I will wait until May 25th, to assess the effect of the easing of restrictions. If these is a reduced community transmission rate then I will consider re-opening with the following caveat:
- I will see only one client per day
- I will request that clients cancel if they feel even the slightest symptoms and am happy to take that cancellation on the day of treatment, even up until the final moment of the appointment. If in doubt – pull out!
- I ask that if you are a high-risk group for contacting the virus, such as a hospital/health worker or someone who has many contacts during the day due to your work, you delay your appointment at this stage.
- A mask will be worn by myself and by the client (except when riding the bike on the trainer). I will provide you with the mask.
If you are interested in an appointment, please email me email@example.com your preferred day and time (post May 25th).
